This Week's Football Birthdays: March 21st - March 27th

A number of big football stars celebrate their birthday this week. But who's celebrating? And how old will they be?

This post shows you which top footballers have their birthday in the next 7 days.

Antoine Griezmann (31)

Atletico’s French magician has been killing it in La Liga for over a decade now. But Griezmann turns just 31 on Monday and is far from finished.

In fact, 2022 could be a massive year for the winger. Because if things go to plan, he could win both the Champions League and the World Cup!

We used to love playing as Griezmann with Real Sociedad on FIFA back in the day. So we made him an S22 Throwback Card just for fun.

Ronaldinho (42)

Joga bonito, the flip flap, and some of the game’s greatest moments of individual brilliance. Footballers don’t come any more iconic than Ronaldinho.

The legendary skillster turns 42 on Monday. And although the Brazilian star hung up his boots in 2016, nobody’s forgotten the joy he brought to the stands.

To celebrate that heritage, we’ve shown him here on an S22 Football’s Greatest Card.

Jordi Alba (33)

Now we move from one Nou Camp legend to another. Jordi Alba has flown under the radar a bit recently. But he's still comfortably one of the best full-backs of his era.

Alba turns 33 on Monday and will be hoping to bag a couple more trophies by the time his stint at the Nou Camp is done. We’ve shown Alba here on an S22 Club Legend Card.

Jadon Sancho (22)

It’s fair to say Jadon Sancho has achieved a lot for someone who turns 22 on Friday. After all, he’s already bloomed in the Bundesliga, featured in a Euro final, and sealed a huge money move to United.

He's not had an electric start to life at Old Trafford. But he’s certainly looked more like himself in the past few games and this could be a massive year for him. We’ve shown him here on an S22 Gold Inform card.

Leonardo Spinazzola (29)

We still get Euros nostalgia from time to time. And if you’re talking about the Euros, you can’t leave Leonardo Spinazzola out of the conversation.

Roma’s flying wing-back lit up the tournament before a heart breaking injury in the knockout stages.

He’s yet to return from that layoff. So we’d like to wish Leonardo a very happy 29th birthday on Friday and a speedy return to action. He's shown here on our special Azzurri Card from Euro 2020.

Manuel Neuer (36)

Back in the late noughties, Manuel Neuer changed the game as a young keeper who wasn’t scared to play with his feet. Fast forward to 2022 and Neuer hasn’t just won it all. He’s pretty much set the standard for elite level goalies.

The original sweeper keeper turns 36 on Sunday and he isn’t done yet. On his wish list this year? A tenth Bundesliga, a third Champions League, and a second World Cup. Sheesh.

If that doesn’t deserve a Club Legend Card, we don’t know what does.
