This Week's Football Birthdays: April 11th - April 17th

A number of big football stars celebrate their birthday this week. But who's celebrating and how old will they be?

This post shows you which top footballers have their birthday in the next 7 days.

Dele Alli (26)

How do you solve a problem like Dele? The ex MK-Dons and Spurs midfielder often looked like he had the world at his feet. But over the last few years he's basically been anonymous.
On the bright side, Dele is just 26 on Monday. Let's hope he gets back on track at Everton and shows us the brilliant skills that got him to the Premier League in the first place.

Thiago Alcantara (31)

Now for a midfielder who definitely reached their potential.

Liverpool's Thiago Alcantara has been one of Europe's smoothest midfielders for years now. And despite a few injury problems of late, he's pure still pure class.

Thiago is 31 on Monday and has a lot to look forward to in the coming weeks. As Liverpool are still fighting on three fronts - with one trophy in the bag already.

Eric Bailly (28)

Is Eric Bailly one of the Premier League's most underrated defenders?

It seems a strange question to ask of an expensive Man United signing. But when he's fit and selected, he often looks very good.

At just 28 on Tuesday, Bailly still has time on his side. But will he hit the heights at Old Trafford or elsewhere?

Alessandro Bastoni (23)

He flies under the radar a little over here, but Inter Milan's Alessandro Bastoni is one of Europe's best young centre backs.

And at just 23 on Wednesday, he could be the latest in a long line of legendary Italian defenders.

We won't see Bastoni at the World Cup with Italy this year. But is he the long-term heir to Chiellini in the Italy team? We might not have to wait long to find out.

Kyle Walker Peters (25)

Kyle Walker Peters has gone from being a victim of Tottenham's crazy squad depth to being one of the Premier League's best full-backs.

His form at Southampton recently earned him a call-up to Gareth Southgate's England squad. And although he wasn't tested much defensively in those games, he definitely looked good going forward.

England have an embarrassment of riches in his position, so we'd be a bit surprised if Kyle made the final World Cup squad. But if he keeps going like he is, he's definitely got a chance.

Carlos Puyol (44)

Speaking of defenders, our last birthday boy this week is the Barcelona legend Carlos Puyol.

The curly haired icon won it all for club and country. And he often had to do the dirty work in teams known for beautiful football.

They certainly don't make many players like Carlos anymore - which is why we've honoured him here with an S22 Football Greatest card.
